Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1984 and obtained her Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in 1989. She began her career with a private engineering consulting firm before joining the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), where she has served for over 34 years. Throughout her tenure at FDOT, Susan has held multiple leadership roles, overseeing staff, managing complex programs, and facilitating coordination with internal departments and external agencies.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Susan has dedicated 18 years to nonprofit service within Central Florida’s Iranian community. She played a foundational role in establishing a local Iranian community church, where she served in various volunteer capacities, including director, secretary, and treasurer. Susan has been a proud resident of Central Florida since 1979.
